As the Landscape Supply and Concrete Dealer Yard Manager in Kalamazoo, MI, you will be responsible for overseeing the efficient and effective operations of the landscape supply yard, with a focus on concrete and stone
products. Your role will involve managing inventory, coordinating with vendors, ensuring quality control, and
providing excellent customer service. This position requires a strong understanding of landscaping materials and
concrete products, as well as excellent organizational and leadership skills.

Compensation:
This is a full-time position. Hours: Monday – Friday, 40 hours

Great Lakes Landscape Supply is a rapidly growing company based out of Cedar Springs Michigan. We specialize in wholesale sales to the landscape trade. We sell trees, shrubs, perennials, natural stone, concrete products, and more. We have 50+ acres of ready-to-sell plant material ranging from 3’ shrubs to 5” caliper trees. vendors, and employees.
Essential Functions
- Operations Management
- o Oversee day to day operations including shipping, receiving, and
- order fulfillment
- o Be able to develop week schedule for self, tasks, and teams
- o Must be able to operate wheel loader.
- o Be able to develop creative solutions to fix daily operation problems.
- Inventory Management
- o Oversee the inventory of landscape and concrete products, ensuring
- optimal stock levels to meet customer demand.
- o Monitor stock movement and prevent shortages or overstock
- situations.
- Vendor Relations
- o Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers and vendors for
- landscape and concrete demand.
- Quality Control
- o Implement and enforce quality control measures for concrete
- products and landscaping materials.
- Team Leadership
- o Must be slef-motivated and able to lead and motivate yard staff by
- fostering a positive work environment.
- Safety Compliance
- o Ability to calculate and enforce max shipment weights and ensure
- safe loading procedures
- Equipment Maintenance
- Schedule the maintenance and repair of equipment, including loaders, and the other yard machinery.
- Sales Support
- Track and record estimates, leads, and sales opportunities in the Sales Force
Necessary Job Skills
- · Proven experience in landscape supply and concrete product management.
- · Strong knowledge of landscaping materials and concrete products.
- · Excellent organizational and communication skills.
- · Leadership experience in a similar setting.
- · Familiarity with safety regulations and best practices in the landscape and concrete industry.
